Licensing & access
Distinguish public Community distribution, private Pro access, and the rights in your supplied package.
Community distribution
The Starter Kit’s public release is distributed under Apache-2.0. Refer to the License included with the package for the applicable terms and notices.
Pro 1.1.0 grant
Pro remains proprietary. Its 1.1.0 supplied Plan Terms describe a non-paid grant for one accepting individual, with reasonable use across that individual’s devices for personal and business work. Legitimately acquired versions may continue to be used under the supplied License.
The grant does not automatically include redistribution, resale, an SLA, future versions, future Power-Ups or a separately licensed service. It does not create an automatic renewal obligation. Read the exact License, Commercial Terms 1.1, Plan Terms 1.1 and support policy included in your package before accepting.
Local acceptance
The guided installer records the accepted document versions and hashes plus an opaque public-grant identifier. The flow does not require names, email, payment or remote activation.
Your own content remains yours. Supplied materials retain their applicable licenses. An AI provider’s account or subscription is separate from KOS.
Distribution and support
Pro is currently private-access-only, with no public acquisition offer. Academy plan access is the intended delivery channel; no working subscription, enrollment or download flow is announced here. Use the authorized channel through which you received the package and its supplied support instructions. Channel access does not rewrite the supplied License or acquired-version rights, and an edition label does not grant unrelated products.
